I have a new food obsession! I cannot get enough of these! And that's ok because there are so many different varieties I can make that satisfy whatever taste I desire. BOWLS! Rice bowls, kale bowls, quinoa bowls, spinach bowls, bowls with fruit, bowls with meat, bowls with veggies, bowls with nuts. So many bowls! The best part is you can manipulate it however you like. So whatever your tummy is craving you can whip up a quick and easy and healthy bowl. Here are a few options:
Mexican Fiesta Bowl:
Base: Rice
Meat: grilled or sauteed chicken or steak
Toppings: corn, tomatoes, guacamole, black beans and cilantro
Kale Power Bowl:
Base: kale (either plain, blanched or sauteed)
Meat: grilled salmon or chicken
Toppings:
Detox Quinoa:
Base: cooked quinoa
Meat: none
Toppings: peeled, sliced and cut into pieces grapefruit, guacamole, mint and crushed pistachios
Thanksgiving Bowl:
Base: roasted sweet potato (see my recipe from an earlier post)
Meat: roasted turkey breast
Toppings: roasted broccoli, roasted brussle sprouts, roasted carrots, pecans, dried and chopped apricots and dried cranberries
